Aww, crap. The Lincoln Project, known for its sharp political satire, has rolled out a new advertisement campaign, Trump Diapers, that metaphorically diapers former President Donald Trump, spotlighting what it views as his inability to handle pressure.
In a biting message, the pro-democracy group paints a vivid picture of someone under extreme duress: “Are you incontinent? Does your family hate you? Is your lawyer testifying against you? Do you face decades in jail?” it reads. The statement suggests ‘Trump Diapers’ as a solution for someone who “[spends] hours in a freezing courtroom” unable to take frequent bathroom breaks.
A new spot, aired during the prestigious Kentucky Derby, also found a spot in the Sunday morning slot on FOX News. The commercial portrays the fictional diapers as a crucial aid for anyone facing the kind of intense courtroom scrutiny that can come with high-stakes political legal battles. It asserts that the product is perfect for those who need to stay composed and collected during such taxing times.
Rick Wilson, co-founder of the Lincoln Project, announced that the advertisement would not only be broadcast on traditional channels but would also make a digital appearance at Mar-A-Lago, aiming to catch the eyes of Trump’s top donors.
“We know Donald ‘Von S**tzInPants’ Trump will hate that this commercial is going to be seen by all his top donors this weekend as they do Apprentice-style tryouts with potential Vice Presidential picks,” says Wilson. “He’s farting and falling asleep in the courtroom because he’s lost control of his faculties. When his donors see this ad, they will see him for what he is: weak and feeble.”
